update form with image

have 2 scripts one that allows me to insert and upload image and one that allows me to delete and remove image so i was thinking in mix both together so it would be like this

first the delete image in an if statment then close } and then { an insert image but with an update mysql query}

 

i am trying to do a modify form where user can modify the data so i will need to update the image on the directory so with both delete and insert would it do the job???

no they not either only removed from the directory which is the first part of the script now the second part of the script upload and update is not working??

almost perfect but just one issue not uploading the new image i wonder if is cz on the part upload script that changes the image variable to $image_name

 

because on the upload script i have, thats a different one thats the insert one i have like this

now on the insert i dnt use like this i just use on the insert image ( insert '$_POST', '$image_name' ) for the image but on the update i use the GET so do i change evrything that gt image to image_name like

If your form is posting as "image" and not "image_name" then yes use "image"

i am using POST this how is looking

ok so the how do i do for something like this on the form the name of input is name but the on the upload process changes the value image to image_name so how do i get this to wrk on the update considering a normal update format would be like this
